Sandrone: passion, integrity, transparency, value.
“In 1981, I brought my first vintage, the 1978, to Vinitaly. I’d produced only 1500 bottles, but there was an American broker there who wanted them all …” - Luciano Sandrone
The Azienda Luciano Sandrone is dedicated to producing Nebbiolo of the Barolo and Roero to the highest qualitative levels possible. Every bottle of Sandrone wine is made with the same careful attention to artisanal tradition, supported by modern technology and hand labor.

The three Nebbiolo bottlings from Sandrone are each unique statements about the terroir, the vines and the winery that produce them. They are meant to be thought of as distinct expressions of a single vision and purpose. None of these is a “second wine” or inferior to its brothers in any way. Valmaggiore shows the incredible perfume and relative lightness of structure characteristic of the Roero. Barolo Cannubi Boschis is a perfect expression of its vineyard’s beautiful exposure and soils through its focused pure fruit and tannins. Barolo Le Vigne pays homage to the historically significant “assemblaggio” wine through its complex and layered structure that unfolds with patience and concentration.
The Sandrone vision is to produce wines that reflect the cultural history and traditions of the Barolo and Roero, while incorporating the best appropriate modern technology to make balanced, ageworthy wines of purity, elegance and harmony.

Hills of the Langhe
The Langhe is named after the long and sinuous hills that define its geography, which resemble tongues or “lingua” in the local dialect. The word evolved into “Langhe” over the last few centuries.
